WordPress AI automation that runs like a system
Turn WordPress from a website into an operating system — AI that drafts, publishes, routes, and reports, wired into your site through n8n and the WordPress REST API, with a human approving what matters.
Audit how content and operations actually move through your WordPress site.
Wire n8n and AI into the WordPress REST API with auth, guardrails, and logs.
Publish and operate on autopilot — every automated action human-approved.

Most “AI for WordPress” is a plugin. Real automation is a system.
WordPress AI automation means connecting your site’s publishing, operations, and data to AI through a controlled pipeline — not bolting a chatbot into the admin. A real system drafts and formats content, uploads media, schedules posts, routes form submissions, updates your CRM, and reports what changed — with guardrails and human approval where it counts.
Netholics builds this on the tools WordPress already exposes: the WordPress REST API for publishing and media, n8n for orchestration, and the Claude API for drafting and classification. Nothing is locked into a closed plugin, and every automated action is logged and reversible.
What we automate on WordPress
Content publishing
AI drafts, formats, and schedules posts straight into WordPress via the REST API — featured images, categories, SEO fields, and internal links handled automatically, queued for your approval.
Operations & workflows
Form submissions, leads, and orders trigger n8n workflows that update your CRM, notify the team, and route the next action — no manual copy-paste between tools.
Reporting & monitoring
Daily summaries of what published, what converted, and what needs attention — built from your own WordPress and analytics data, delivered where you work.
What a WordPress AI automation system includes
Each piece removes manual work without taking humans out of the decisions that matter.
REST publishing pipeline
A direct, authenticated path to create and update posts, pages, and media through the WordPress REST API.
AI drafting & formatting
Claude-powered drafting, rewriting, and structuring tuned to your brand voice and on-page SEO.
Media automation
Images optimised to WebP, uploaded with alt text, and attached to the right post automatically.
Scheduled & triggered publishing
Posts publish on a schedule or from a trigger — an RSS feed, a brief, a calendar — with WordPress handling the timing.
Guardrails & approval
Application-password auth, human-in-the-loop review, and full logs so every automated change is safe and reversible.
Why build it on WordPress and n8n
Because you keep control. WordPress runs a large share of the web and exposes a complete REST API; n8n is open-source orchestration you can self-host. Together they let you automate aggressively without vendor lock-in, per-seat SaaS fees, or sending your content through someone else’s black box.
This is the same pattern Netholics runs on its own site — automated publishing on our own infrastructure. We start with an AI Systems Audit, map where automation creates real leverage, and if AI isn’t the right first step, we say so — sometimes the win is a cleaner content system before any agent touches the workflow.
Owned WordPress automation vs rented SaaS
| Netholics (WordPress + n8n) | Off-the-shelf SaaS | |
|---|---|---|
| Ownership | Yours, self-hostable | Locked to their platform |
| Pricing | No per-task fees | Per-task / per-seat billing |
| Custom logic | Unlimited — code when needed | Limited to supported steps |
| AI integration | Native (Claude API) | Add-on, constrained |
| Your content & data | Stays on your infrastructure | Flows through their cloud |
How the automation actually runs
A trigger — a schedule, a content brief, an RSS feed, or a form submission — starts an n8n workflow. n8n calls the Claude API to draft or classify, then posts the result to WordPress through the REST API. Nothing goes live until a human approves it, and every step is logged.
WordPress AI automation questions.
Can you automate WordPress with AI without breaking the site?
Yes. We automate through the official WordPress REST API and n8n, with application-password auth, staging tests, and full logs — every change is reversible and nothing touches core files.
Is AI-generated content safe for SEO?
When it’s reviewed and genuinely useful, yes. We draft with AI, structure for search and AI engines with schema and clear answers, and keep a human approving before anything publishes — Google rewards helpful content, not the tool that made it.
Do I have to leave WordPress or change platforms?
No. The point is to make your existing WordPress do more. We add an automation layer on top — your theme, content, and admin stay exactly where they are.
Where does n8n fit in?
n8n is the orchestration engine. It watches for triggers, calls the AI, and posts the result to WordPress — self-hosted, so your data and content never leave your control.
